The concept of the Nightseekers group was really interesting as were the members that made up the group. Lust Unleashed is the story of how the group came about and wolf shifter member Jonah as he falls in love with Dakota. Each member of the group has suffered a loss from the killing mythical beast. Jonah is focused on avenging the woman he wanted as his mate when the trail leads to Dakota, a half Native-American loner in a town that has scorned her for her different behavior and beliefs.
This was a story that had me fully engaged in parts and then it would segue and lose my interest. The relationship between Jonah and Dakota could have used more details so that readers could see more than sex in the romance. While a decent size read the story's pacing sometimes dragged and I found myself wanting to skip pages. Holt did due a good job on the Chupacabre and its lust filled intent to kill.
Jonah Grey, driven by a lust for the blood of the legendary Chupacabra that murdered the woman who was to be his mate, jumps at the offer to leave the FBI and join Night Seekers, who are dedicated to hunting and killing the devil beast.
Then Jonah encounters a woman with whom he shares explosive chemistry that neither can deny—and sex that brings a level of pleasure neither has ever known. Soon he’s dividing his time and indulging in erotic bouts of orgasmic lust with Dakota.
But the devil beast must still be dealt with, and the wolf in Jonah won’t rest until the Chupacabra is dead.
