The Summoner's Tale

The Order of the Black Swan #3

Ms. Victoria Danann has done it again. This book, The Summoner’s Tale, is a delightful and somewhat unexpected addition to the outrageously fun and exciting Order of the Black Swan books. I must admit, I was slightly surprised to learn it was Baka’s story, but as he is a member of the illustrious B Team, it does make sense. The story brings back all the old favorites, and introduces us to some others who played small parts in other books, but may play bigger parts in this novel. It is a very fast read, and one that simply refuses to let the reader set it down. The series just gets better and better with each additional book, and as both a reader and a reviewer, I can hardly wait for the next installment.

Istvan Baka has gone missing. Heaven McBride, who, previously, was callous and somewhat rude to her “boss”, knows that there’s more to this problem than meets the eye. She knows he wouldn’t willingly disappear without notice. Now all she has to do is convince everyone else that something is wrong. To make matters worse, Elora, Ram’s wife who is also extremely pregnant, is also missing. The remaining members of Team B must all get to Scotland to engage in the search for both Baka and Elora. Heaven, in the meantime, has much soul searching to do and will learn a lot about herself that she did not know previously. Can Heaven and Baka learn to trust in each other and be happy in each other? What’s going on with Elora? Come along to Scotland and join in the hunt. You will not be disappointed.
