"Taken by the Desert Sheikh" is trilogy that follows three brothers and their chosen brides. It’s certainly a flight of fancy but a very sexy, enjoyable one. Don’t look for realism, just sit back and go with the premise. The heroes are dreamy and the women, strong yet vulnerable. Although each story is written by a different author, there’s a common thread so that the reader feels the connection to Qutum, the home of the sheikh brothers.
These stories are sensual with well written, erotic love scenes. While they may sound like the old romance stories from the ‘70s and ‘80s, they definitely are not. The women are headstrong and committed to equality with their husbands. The heat level is scorching and despite misunderstandings, there are strong connections between the couples. I thoroughly enjoyed all three books and spent a cold afternoon reading straight through the entire trilogy.
