Blaine

Christmas at The Skulls, #10

Another fantastic book from Sam Crescent! It is Christmas with The Skulls, as the club moves on from the turmoil wrought by Gonzalez and company. This one was so sweet and I am a sucker for a second chance at love story. I enjoyed every last page from beginning to end.

This is a series that keeps getting better with every book, as each one gets harder hitting than the last. Crescent wasn't holding anything back as she opened with a scene that was a punch in my emotional gut. It broke my heart to see the pain that Blaine put down on Emily. Blaine started out being a real douche-bag. So Crescent burned it all down, and then built it all back up again. It took a few years and was painful at times, but worth the hard work that Blaine put into earning his way back with Emily and their little girl. Then, of course, they had so much fun making up for lost time with plenty of sexy times. Hot ! Hot ! Hot ! Helloooo...it is a Sam Crescent book.

It was a peaceful time with The Skulls. This book was mostly about family and tumultuous relationships. While it was romantic and the main focus remained on Blaine and Emily, the story as a whole included small parts about some of our favorite Skulls. There was a wedding for Whizz and Lacey, drama with Hardy and Rose, new romance on the horizon for Baker and Millie, and Stink and Sandy, just to name a few. New members are voted in, and trouble may not be too far behind. So this book was by far one of my favorites in the series.

So for my critique I'd say it was well written. The plot was good, and flowed easily without too many editing issues. The story was sweet, passionate and funny at times. Of course I loved all the characters. Most of all I loved how Crescent continues to nurture the future possibilities. I can see the writing on the wall...trouble up ahead with the kids. I can't wait for that.

What can I say about this book? I loved it and can't wait for the next one.
