Blaze's Second Chance

The Sinclair Men

Cassie has worked for Sinclair Industries for a year and is hopelessly in love with the owner, Blaze. She knows she has little chance as he seems to go for slim blondes and she’s a plump brunette but a girl can dream. When her dream is realized on his desk after the company Christmas party she’s stunned but hopeful. Until the holiday is over and she realizes she’s been used in the worst way imaginable. Exit Cassie, lesson learned the hard way. Three years of misery have made Blaze a wiser man. He married the woman he impregnated but it was a disaster. Now via his brother’s matchmaking he’s faced with his biggest loss and a chance to win her back.

If Blaze did to me what he did to Cassie he wouldn’t have a second chance as he’d be dead and buried. But that’s just me. I wanted to like Cassie more than I did throughout the book, but she finally won me over at the end. As to Blaze, I don’t care how hot and hard, no man should get away with what he did. It’s not often I get riled while reading a book; it is fiction after all. But this just rubbed me the wrong way. I never quite got into the other story lines floating in the background either, but am interested and intrigued enough to want to read them when they become available.

Book Blurb for Blaze's Second Chance

Blaze Sinclair is the oldest son in the Sinclair household. He’s strong and sexy as hell and craves the plump receptionist working in his office building. On the night of the Christmas party his life is turned upside down, but he’s determined to have the woman he wants.

Cassie Walker has fallen in love with her boss. She spends every day at work craving his attention. One night her life is changed forever. Broken and used, Cassie must learn to move on and forget about the man who owns her heart.

Five years pass. With a divorce and a son under his belt, Blaze comes face to face with the only woman he’s ever wanted.

Can she forgive Blaze and give him a second chance, or will it be too late for her to realize the best things in life are worth fighting for?
