Bonding With the Beast

Brides of the Kindred

Differences attract and are what make us who we are. So why do some people punish others for them? Isobel wins mother of the century for running from her husband who refused to accept their son's special circumstances and needs. But that doesn't make Isobel immune from practicing the same behavior on someone unfamiliar to her. Irony at it's finest. Granted, Isobel's ex was cruel, she was just clueless and lacking information when it came to the Dark Kindred.

I always gobble up the next Kindred book and seriously enjoyed the snack-size of this quick read compared to her usual novels. It was lacking nothing since I have the background of the entire series, but someone picking this book up out of the blue may struggle a bit. The connection between Hail and Isobel, fostered by the Goddess, manages to repair a lot of breakage experienced by all involved. There is some tension, definite humor and life threatening danger but it all leads right where Hail and Isobel need to be; together.

Book Blurb for Bonding With the Beast

Isobel Yates is a single mom with no time for romance, but the Goddess has other plans for her.

Hail is a Dark Kindred. Since emotions are outlawed on his home world, he is learning to feel now that he lives on the Mother Ship. Strong emotions are bad news, though--they bring out the part of his DNA that is Bolaxian Beast, a race of beings known for their fierce breeding lust.

Isobel is afraid to trust the huge Kindred warrior with her heart and the safety of her young son but when fate throws them together, she has no choice. When Hail's beast comes out, will Isobel run from him…or bond with him?

You'll have to read Bonding with the Beast to find out…

*Please note: There is a bit of rough sex in this book--well, what can you expect from a book called Bonding with the Beast, right? : ) Anyway, I wanted to warn anyone who is bothered by this sort of thing and assure you there is also tender lovemaking as well. Please read responsibly!*
