Hi Roxanne. Thanks for stopping over to share with us. Please tell us about your book "Sonnet Coupled".
ER nurse Sonnet Mendoza's new housemate Griffith Parker proves there is more to a man than meets the eye, and shows her there's more to life than just her career.
At what point did you know you wanted to publish a book?
Since I was eight. I wrote a story about the Abominable Snowman in the Matterhorn at Disneyland, and from that moment I knew I wanted to be an author.
If your home a place of order or chaos?
Orderly chaos. I have children. :)
What genres do you write in and what inspired you to write in these genres?
I write everything from YA dystopian, general/women's fiction, horror, children's stories, to contemporary erotic romance. I love writing in these genres because life is inspiring, and there's always something to write about. As a psychology major I've always been fascinated by relationships in particular; how they begin, how they materialize and struggle, and what makes people tick. It's really an interesting dynamic.
What is our favorite drink?
Cherry Lime Rickey (yes, really). :)
What is your writing place like?
I write on my laptop, so I like to migrate everywhere from my home office to the public library, to my favorite quiet spot in the canyons.
What's next for you as an author?
I am working on a children's series and a YA Dystopian novel. I will definitely be writing more romance, but I am branching out.
It's been great having you over.
Thank you so much for your interest in Sonnet Coupled! I hope you check it out and enjoy Sonnet and Griffith's journey. We need more diversity in literature, and I had the time of my life writing this book. It's an emotional erotic story that will tug at your heartstrings while getting you hot beneath the collar.
