Hi Carolyn! Thanks for stopping over today to chat about your latest book, "Pretend Princess". What's it based on?
It's like the Prince and the Pauper, only she's a missionary's daughter hired to step in for a missing princess. Getting the public to accept her as the princess is much easier than dealing with her hopeless love for the handsome crown prince.
At what point did you know you wanted to publish a book?
When I worked as a teacher in a federal prison, I thought their story needed to be told. However, by the time I learned how to write and had a cookbook published, I was hooked on writing romance, and especially romantic suspense.
If your home a place of order or chaos?
My home is fairly neat, except for our "Later Rooms," but my desk is piled high with books I want to review, notes for stories I'm working on and Make A Scene, a book on writing.
What genres do you write in and what inspired you to write in these genres?
I write romantic suspense. I love to read about dangerous adventures and see the hero and heroine come out on top.
What is our favorite drink?
Coffee with Sweet 'n Low and milk and milkshakes.
What is your writing place like?
A hutch with 'how to write' books, a picture of my first book, Romancing the Gold, a Damn It Doll to slam on my desk when I get rejections, a computer, a dictionary, and two big paperclips. One is filled with pictures and papers showing my accomplishments, and the other with pictures of other's accomplishments I want to achieve also.
What's next for you as an author?
I'm working on a Kindle World Sequel to Royal Wedding Cake and a trilogy featuring the dangers faced by the Ballard Twins and their older sister, Angela. Romancing the Doctor, featuring a dangerous virus should be released this spring by my publisher, MuseItUp.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Night Owl Reviews and all you readers who keep me dreaming up stories.
