One of my favorites was “Winner Take All” by Andrea Dale; I liked this story so very much because of the realness the author created in such a short amount of time. With the contest heating up Teddie and Grace have more distractions than originally imagined. More than just their self control will be put to the test! I found both of these characters to be fully developed and well written. I also found this story to be incredibly hot without the descriptiveness of many of the other tales included in this book.
Another story that sticks out in my mind from this collection is “It’s So Peaceful out Here” by Elaine Miller. This anthology takes the reader on a camping trip with one Femme and seven Butches. I liked this one because of the fact that the butch telling the story is trying to teach her girl to use discretion. But how discrete can you be in a tent surrounded by all of your closest friends? With a sexy ending to this tale you will find yourself hoping that for more from these two characters.
This whole book has stories that make you think of the Butch/Femme relationship in a completely different way. Editor DL King found a bunch of stories that go hand in hand, and that fit perfectly into this one book. Many of these stories leave the reader wanting more but occasionally the characters get that rare happy ending that they surely deserve. If you are looking for some quick, fun, and incredibly sexy stories with F/F bases than “The Harder She Comes” is the perfect book for you!
