First, here is some information on Rosaline’s world: In this world humans and preternaturals, beings that are not humans such as gods, werewolves, vampires, and other creatures know about each other. Most humans do not hang out with the preternaturals. The “Guardian” is a female half-god who throws adult parties on the side where humans and preternaturals come together to meet and play with each other in an adult fashion. “Guardian” has put up safeguards in place so humans do not get hurt unless they want to get hurt. The safeguards include consent from the beginning and rules such as only allowing hands to be used on their body and not some other appendage. Humans are given a necklace with a coin that only “Guardian” or the human can take off. If the coin is taken off that person is allowing a preternatural to do whatever they wish up to absconding off with them. “Guardian’s” day job is helping the preternaturals find lifemate’s and along with finding them a job where they can earn some money.
Rosaline has been the secretary of “Guardian” for a while since she is a sensitive who can tell from a touch what kind of preternatural she is talking to at the moment. However, Rosaline wants to go to one of the adult parties that “Guardian” throws at night. After getting her body in shape for a month, she goes to a party wearing only fire engine red stilettos on her body. After standing on stage and stating her rules she is told to go get groped. This does happen to Rosaline but nothing else and all. The humans think it a busted night but “Guardian” tells them her cousin is there to see her servers and will they all go into back where it is very dark and offer food to him. They meet Sebastian who takes all their breaths away because of his handsomeness. Sebastian only has eyes for Rosaline and he uses his hands to bring her to orgasm, but he is not alone other hands help him please her. Rosaline loves all the attention and comes back the next night and different things happen in that very dark corner. Rosaline is starting to fall in love with Sebastian but one night Sebastian plays a cruel game on her.
Will Rosaline and Sebastian get together again or will they go their separate ways? What is up with all those hands? Who do they belong too? What is so special about Sebastian and what is his preternatural ability?
This is a very hot read with a ménage a troi and many more. Overall the story was OK, but just not to my taste. I usually do not read ménage stories and I felt uncomfortable. I would not like other people hands on me when I am in such an intimate situation. I wish the publisher would have given some insight that this book included ménage a troi. Also this story is down as including Elves and Dragons. I didn’t find those in this story. So if ménage and more is something you do like, give this book a look. I'm sure there is an audience for this type of story, it just wasn't me.
Rosaline never thought she would find a meaningful relationship at an adult party for the denizens of the preternatural community. She came to have fun and flirt with danger while hiding behind the safety of the party's rules. And then she met Sebastian, a demi-god who demands all her attention and satisfies her every need. Even though her head says it's nothing but pleasure between consenting adults with no strings attached, her heart is wondering if this fickle demi-god might actually want to be with her.
