Aurora is heading for her final assignment before she finishes her training. So far she’s been at the top of her class and her instructor, Tragar, has high hopes for her. All she has to do is go to Earth and tie up the goat. Aurora is hoping that this assignment will allow her to stay longer than she has before on Earth. Her sister has told her stories about human males and Aurora would love to find out how true they are.
Doctor Charles Morgan, professor of astronomy, is waiting to board the ship that will take him on a cruise to Hawaii where he has a job interview when Aurora pops in next to him. Intrigued by this woman, Charles attempts to start a conversation. It doesn’t get far before its time to board the boat.
Aurora knows she must complete her assignment before she can have fun with Charles but she’s so attracted to him. After searching from one end of the ship to the other, she’s no closer in finding the goat though. Giving up for the moment, Aurora goes too late to dinner only to find herself seated next to Charles. Should she give into her desires or should she stick to finding a goat?
This was a charming short story. It’s only around 80 pages long and doesn’t take long to read. There is some comic relief in three sisters who think Charles does astrology and Aurora’s instructions come with a twist. The characters aren’t real developed but with the short length of the story, there really isn’t much time.
I have to admit though that as short as it is, there is a definite beginning, middle and end and the total package is complete. There is some humor, magic, seriousness and sex. Best of all, after you’ve learned to like these characters you get to see into the future! This is a great story to kick back with and relax.
