Ambrosia Thatcher finds herself waking every morning at 3:33 am with cold sweats and a case of frights. She wasn’t sure if it was her illness that was doing it, but got no answers from her doctors. She decides to go to the fair and see the gypsy fortuneteller who tells her that she has been busy in her sleep seeking her true love. The gypsy also tells her that she has been dreaming of him in her sleep. Plus that he will heal her and bring her true eternal love. But she will live a very different existence. Ambrosia doesn’t believe this and becomes angry. When she turns to stomp off, she bumps into a hot, sexy man with long, black hair and a deep, velvet voice and smoldering eyes. His name is Desmond Jacobs. Ambrosia feels as though she has seen him before and asks him if they have met. He tells her no, that he has just moved into town. He notices her watch is stuck on 3:33 and reaches out and fixes it for her. They then go their separate ways. A few weeks later she goes to see her doctor who informs her that her Leukemia is worse and that she may only have days left. Ambrosia tells the doctor that she doesn’t want a wheelchair for her worsening mobility, nor does she want drugs to ease her into death. She just wants her pain pills and to go on her date that night. Ambrosia has set up a date with 1 Night stand. Meanwhile…Desmond is a Vampire. He has been lonely for decades and the only thing he had going for him were his romantic encounters with a woman on the Astral Plane, but they stopped 3 weeks ago. He decides that after his 1 Night Stand date tonight, he will end it. His Sire/Best Friend Aldon gets him a room at an underwater hotel. Ambrosia gets to her hotel room, 333, and meets her date…Desmond! This was another great installment of the 1 Night Stand series and my only complaint as usual is that it was so short. Kali Willows does it again! She writes such wonderful characters that you really get invested with them and I was really rooting for Ambrosia and Desmond to get together. And I really liked Desmond’s Sire/Friend Aldon, who saves the day (or the night as it is.) a few times. Bravo Kali!
