Charis Forbes-Wilkinson doesn’t need a husband. Her family, however, says she needs one because she is ruined. Charis doesn’t see how she could be ruined though for she has done nothing. The part I liked about Charis was she wasn’t a damsel in distress but had her own opinions about things. Just when she thought she had her freedom a caller comes into her life. With nowhere to run she escapes into the forest. She knows she is safe there until she meets Sinjun. Now here is a man who might make her reconsider marriage. The thing is these two are so opposite from another it is hard to find the attraction. Here is a gypsy man who has never known a life of rules and decorum. Charis is like a wild flower to him which fascinates him every way. All in all it was an okay book but somehow through it all my love for Charis just faltered. I tried to like her but every time I was close she came off childish. Now Sinjun is a man who didn’t have the life Charis has but still came out strong through it all. The attraction is there all the way but I would have loved more of a chase between them. One thing about Sahara Kelly is the passion she writes is one that is unforgettable. Love and romance definitely sizzle between Charis and Sinjun, one that keeps them together all the way. Great job.
