I had really wanted to enjoy this story considering the first few chapters were unbelievably crafted, created, and beautifully written. I was hooked, nearly addicted but my appreciation for the tale slowed when the menage began. Amber is a deeply disturbed woman. She has been abused by her Alpha father because she is half-fae and according to werewolves, fae are evil. She had been forced to hide who she really was but a fateful attack on her home and her pack had opened up new doors. Entering those doors are two very strong and potent males. The first to fall for our heroine is Truman, or Tru for short. He's second-in-command of the Treeland Pack and is not allowed to love the Alpha's bride-to-be. But he can't resist her. I truly enjoyed Tru's and Amber's relationship as they huddled in a bunker for safety. It was a very cute and loving relationship, one that flowed effortlessly. As soon as the Alpha, Hunter, entered the scene, then the story became a bit too fantastical for my taste. A well-described possessive, protective, and jealous Alpha would never share his mate and yet that is what Hunter does. I suppose that's where I began to lose interest because it didn't fit the Alpha's profile. Nonetheless, the love scenes were dramatic and fun and the story itself was highly intriguing. This was a very well-written story and if I could believe an Alpha would willingly share his mate, then I would have creamed myself reading this! Just because I had a qualm, doesn't mean you will. Again, the creativity and beautifully written words makes this story well worth reading.
