Drag and Drop by Kimberly Gardner is a very sweet and sexy holiday story. I loved both of the main characters and enjoyed watching them work things out between them so they could be together. At just under 52 pages, PDF, the story moves quickly and is evenly paced. With loveable characters and a story that moved along smoothly, Drag and Drop is perfect novella for a quick and provocative read. Peter is excited to be moving back in town. Not only will he live closer to his parents, he’s also thrilled to move closer to his boyfriend, CJ. For months, they’ve had to steal stolen moments together on weekends and Peter is ready to move their relationship to the next level. CJ has a secret he’s been keeping from Peter. He works as a part-time drag queen and loves to sometimes dress in women’s clothing when he goes out. Thinking that Peter will push him away once he finds out, CJ decides to break up with him instead of the rejection he’s sure he’ll receive if Peter finds out. But as soon as he leaves Peter, he’s immediately aware that he’s made a mistake. When he confesses to another drag queen about his problem, he soon finds out that he had misjudged Peter all along. Will CJ be able to get Peter back and hopefully get him to love him for who he really is? I really loved this short story. I loved both characters and thought they really would be good together. I like the little twist in the storyline that allowed CJ to see that Peter might be more accepting of his lifestyle and career after all. The book continued to flow evenly throughout and I truly hated to see it come to an end. My only gripe was that I would have loved to read more of these wonderful characters. But Drag and Drop still definitely gave me an hour or so of enjoyment and I look forward to reading more of Ms. Gardner’s work in the future.
