A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Christy Carlyle
Slave to Fashion by Debra Glass is a deliciously erotic romp detailing the relationship that develops between an unlikely pair: famous London modiste Georgianna Talbot and hard-working Scottish laird and linen mill owner, Blane MacLaren. When Blane comes to London in an attempt to win Georgianna's business, the two are immediately attracted to and repulsed by each other. Eventually, attraction wins out and Georgianna, having vowed never to marry, allows Blane to introduce her to the pleasures of the body and spark all the secret desires she has repressed under her in-control, woman of business exterior. I enjoyed Georgianna's journey of sensual exploration with Blane. Debra Glass deftly described the raw need and ecstatic release of their adventures, both from Blane's perspective and Georgianna's. I relished the opportunity to experience their relationship from both viewpoints. If anything, I found myself wanting more. I wanted more scenes that developed the love relationship between Blane and Georgianna outside of the bedroom. I also cared about the interesting secondary characters of Elizabeth, Georgianna's sister, and rival linen producer Griffin. I would have enjoyed more details of their budding relationship, personalities and interactions. Slave to Fashion allows the reader to go on a raw and erotic journey of sensual exploration while spending time with two fun and spirited characters.

Book Blurb for Slave to Fashion
A taste of the forbidden…
Georgiana Talbot intends to remain a spinster in order to ensure her younger sisters debut and find husbands. But when she encounters a devilish Scot who ignites a searing fire within her, Georgiana realizes just how much she has denied herself regarding the pleasures of the flesh. Determined to learn more, she concocts a daring scheme.
A touch of the taboo…
Seducing the haute ton’s premier modiste into buying linen from his mills is foremost on Blane MacLaren’s mind. Until his need to bend the brash beauty to his will drives him to enter into a scandalous agreement—Georgiana will purchase his linens if he will tutor her in an array of dark delights and forbidden pleasures. Yet nothing could have prepared him for the effect his very willing student will have on him—or how far a harmless lesson in lust can go.
