Samantha Kane's latest Brothers in Arms, "Love's Surrender," is a lovely addition to the series. Nick and Oliver have been together since Waterloo. They are just as battered mentally as the other soldiers in the series. When Vanessa catches them in a compromising position, they both react to the desire they see in her. As they fall in love with her, they want her to leave her "privileged" life and join theirs. I love Kane's writing. I love her voice and the fluent dialogue she can create. This book, while enjoyable and excellently written, seemed threadbare at times. I felt that there was something...more that could have been included. Overall, I did love the story, but that certain something just seemed to be missing for me.
