Born in Los Angeles, California, I now live in the Finger Lakes Region of Western New York with my husband, almost teenage son, and lots of dogs and cats. My grown daughter lives in Los Angeles near my parents.
As a family, we enjoy many outdoor activities: hiking, cycling, gardening, birdwatching, snow-shoeing and snowboarding. We also enjoy the many cultural activities WNY provides, attending theatre and concerts and visiting museums as often as we are able.
Inside our little cabin in the woods, it is all about cooking, music, and, of course, reading and writing. When my son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, we embraced a healthier lifestyle, and that's also when I decided my dream of becoming a romance writer couldn't wait. Life's just too precious to waste one moment, and I completely embrace the concept of happily ever after.
My day job is professor of English at a community college. I attended the University of California at Los Angeles, earning a BA in English Literature. I also attended Humboldt State University, where I earned two MAs—one in English Literature and another in Composition and Rhetoric. Once I moved east, I earned my MFA in Creative Writing from Vermont College. Since then, I have published poems and non-fiction in various small publications.
The Billionaire's Bauble (ISBN: 978-1-61935-060-1) is my first novel. Set in the rugged Northwest (Alaska) and the rural East (New York) it is written in the genre of contemporary romantic fiction.
Forthcoming from Musa Publishing are two contemporary romance novels titled One Wet Summer (May 2012) and Good Things Come in Tall Packages (August 2012).
I cut my teeth on the classics of romance literature and am still passionate about the genre. I am a member of the Romance Writers of America (RWA).
Thanks for learning a little about me, and do feel free to contact me.
