The Cake was a fun read for several of different reasons.....outside of developing a yen for cupcakes. The most enjoyable aspects of this first installment of the Elemental Superpowers series are: the humor, the characters, Dain's coming into his powers, and how things worked out. I look forward to many more collaborations from two wonderful authors.

I find that what I liked about this book is that, while it is serious, there is a bit of madcappery involved without being ridiculous. The development of the characters - and their various relationships - is another element I liked. The luscious setting, along with the banshee goddess in the park area, really bring the story together. Another winner!

Manacled certainly does that on all counts with the twist that it is Mingo who was/is supposedly married rather than Francois. Part of what kept me reading is that the writing is great, part of it is the "process" of the characters going from point A to point B, and a part of it is that the

The story follows Lucas Addison, a world champion chess player, and Kevin Morgan, a former movie and stage star who has fallen from public grace. From the beginning, the attraction between Lucas and Kevin is clear. Although they do not have an easy ride on their journey of getting together, Mr. Llewellyn draws the reader in by provi

A Wizard In Waikiki

Beachgoers on a hot day in Waikiki are stunned when a tall, handsome, island man rises from the ocean and strides, naked across the sand. He walks straight to the small, ringed enclosure containing four Wizard Stones. Positioned between the beach and the foot traffic of Kalakaua Avenue, most tourists never notice them. However, Konu, the naked man, becomes agitated at the sight of a young Asian girl draping her beach towel over the wizard stones. He flings her towel to the ground, inciting a near-riot. Konu however, is oblivious. He’s come a long way, from Tahiti and is one of the ancient wizards whose power was infused into the stones four hundred years ago.

With the invisible battle between good and evil at its peak, Konu and the other wizards have been dispatched to help balance the power. He lands in modern-day Waikiki, stunned by the changes – and also, to find he is alone. Seeking the signs he’s supposed to be sent, he’s surprised when a cop tries to arrest him for indecent exposure. Then the young girl’s grandfather tells the officer the strapping islander is with him. Konu has no choice but to go with him. Konu soon discovers the old man thinks the ancient sorcerer is a homeless lunatic. Will the ancient forces of evil beat him? Or can this Wizard in Waikiki find his power again, and perhaps…even love?

Black Point Forever is a wonderfully written book that necessitates having the tissues within arm’s reach. This is the kind of story that a reader, or at least me, does not want to end. At the same time, thanks to the punch that both writers bring to the story, this read also seemed a lot longer than it was - and not because it was boring, but because they draw you in and don't want to let the reader g

First Foot

Kimo and Lopaka have taken their whole family to Scotland for an old-fashioned Christmas in a magnificent castle in the snowy Cairngorm Mountains. Their host, the Earl of Glennich is a fanatic for Christmas and follows all the ancient traditions once banned in Scotland for four hundred years, until 1958.

The daffy earl is obsessed with good luck and fears bad luck around every corner of his haunted castle. Will everything go right when he asks Kimo to First Foot on Christmas Day? Tradition holds that the first person to cross the threshold must be a dark-haired man. A fair-haired man or a woman, are considered bad luck. Kimo and Lopaka think things will go just fine. They're having fun sneaking off for furtive love-making and finding secret places to kiss. For Kimo, this family Christmas is a dream come true after many years of loneliness. Nothing but good luck could be on their Christmas horizon…or is it?

This is Book 15 in the best-selling "Phantom Lover" series.

Shiro Yamada has infiltrated a fearsome Yakuza clan in Tokyo in search of his missing mother, but now both their lives are at stake, unless he’s willing to kill a New York City cop.

Shiro Yamada’s problem has always been his lovely, wayward mum, Siono, who was whisked to her native city of Tokyo from their home in Honolulu, Hawaii by a mysterious businessman. Now she’s gone missing and may even be dead, according to a strange telephone call.

Scraping together money to fly to Tokyo, Shiro learns that his mum’s boyfriend was none other than Shun’ichi Harada, a major Yakuza clan leader. He has no choice but to infiltrate the deadly gang as a low-level bike messenger. He finds out his mother was forced into sexual slavery, but is she dead or alive?

The Yakuza have figured out who Shiro is and if he wants to survive, he must travel to New York and eliminate a powerful enemy: Kono Takumi. The man’s crime? He is a NYPD detective who infiltrated the Yakuza to solve a murder mystery. Not only that, but Kono is gay, which the clan finds offensive.

Relentless Passion

Twins Alex and Zeca love to switch identities. It’s harmless fun until Alex wants to date a hot tourist visiting their home of Capri, and asks Zeca to take his place on a date with Alex’s current beau, Antonio. After a day in Antonio’s arms—followed by a long, lusty weekend in his bed during a trip to Naples—Zeca discovers switching places with Alex isn’t so harmless after all. Especially when he realizes he’s falling hard for his brother’s boyfriend.

While struggling with his feelings for Antonio, consoling his semi-celebrity father (who’s having woman troubles) and trying not to upset Alex (who might be in love with Antonio…or his tourist tryst…or maybe the neighbor lady), Zeca wonders how any of them will make it through all the relationship woes with hearts intact.

As Antonio says, “Love has a way of fixing things itself.”

With a multi-department takedown of a drug and gambling ring exposed in an old LA warehouse, Jack slips inside the ruined, crumbling building for some solo fun...except that a few other cops...and a bad guy or two have the same idea...some guys are just born to be bad...

Carden's sexual allure was intoxicating. Did Rory actually feel as if he could die looking into those eyes, or was it just Carden's PURE BLOOD putting him in a trance?

Vampires have come "out of the closet" and they're buying up real estate and running brothels in the City of Angels. Rory isn't sure how he feels about vampires, and when his best friend begs him to accompany him to a vampire brothel on his birthday so that he can experience what is widely believed to be the sex of his life, Rory tags along reluctantly. There he meets Dennis, a mortal, who is a city inspector responsible for overseeing vampire brothels. There is an immediate attraction and a lucrative job offer to work in the Brothel as an inspector. Unable to turn down the money, Rory accepts both the job and the offer to share Dennis's bed.

When Rory first sees Carden, he isn't even sure if he's real. Extraordinarily beautiful, Rory has no experience with vampires, especially not with one of Carden's caliber.

Carden is not just any vampire prostitute, working at Eclipse, the hottest vampire brothel in the city, run by a scrupulous vampire named, Blane. He is a Pure Blood, born a vampire, and reputed to be not only capable of bestowing upon his sexual partner the ultimate sexual high, but highly sought after by a group of eccentric millionaires who worship Pure Bloods in the hopes of gaining eternal life. Seeking some semblance of normality years ago, Carden took a mortal as his lover, a mortal whose body has been ravished by AIDS. Dennis is all Carden cares about and so he works for Blane, who exploits Carden's services for exorbitant fees and has taken Dennis some place Carden can't find him.

As the sun goes down on Eclipse, the hauntingly beautiful, mysterious Carden and the sweet, fearful Rory will gradually draw closer together, and the evil that permeates the night will close in around them.
